“ Another Yelp Elite friend and I decided to introduce our +1s hoping they'll get along and we'll all be friends. We got sat in the patio, which they had designed with a nice fireplace and also added overhead and the standing space heaters. It was so effective that we got too warm and requested one of it turned off. We had a really sweet server - friendly, kind. We ordered drinks, which were well made but nothing particularly memorable. We order the sweet potato fritters to start with - it was almost entirely dough with no flavors of sweet potatoes. We then had a pizza and a pasta, which was quite bland. The pizza was fine and we also tried their polenta. The ambiance is cute - what a lovely date night spot. Service was 5 stars. But the food was lacking. This place has potential but falls just short. And oh, parking is a miserable challenge in this area - their website says plenty of street parking but that's not actually true. ”

“ Coming back to write yet another review for my favorite restaurant in Austin.. If you don't believe me, this is where I went immediately after getting married at the courthouse. Not only were we treated with such amazing care and complimentary champagne, the food was as expected, outstanding (although I am sad they took their chicken and watermelon salad off the menu). Nonetheless, their seasonal menu and open kitchen never ceases to amaze me. The ambiance is business casual, natural lighting, modern century with a touch of art deco, and it's everything you could ask for and more, every. single. time. ”

“ Tucked just off West 6th in Clarksville, Pecan Square is a great comfort food spot that adds a little elegance to the standard comfort fare. We shared several items including their unique spin on the Cesar salad and a very hefty pork chop. Cocktails were delicious and the service and ambiance were more than delightful. Do yourself a favor and add Pecan Square to your downtown-ish dining list. ”

“ Our daughter kept talking about Pecan Square Cafe~ so we finally made it for their Happy Hour We were seated at a corner table in the bar, PERFECT Our server (she might have new) was LOVELY ~ making polite suggestions & not rushing us through our app choices... Started with cocktails, an Old Fashion for my Hubs + I ordered a speciality cocktail BOTH were da bomb It was quite hot outside both were served ice cold sooooo mine was PERFECTION in a stemmed glass. Our apps were TERRIFIC starting with zucchini fries, served golden & crunchy with salt....OOOOMG, as good or better than french fries Also the Mushroom quesadilla, who needs meat when you have this much DELISHHHHNESS on a TORTILLA? Our main consisted of a potato truffle pizza (no overwelmed with truffle) beautiful chew in the crust, the toppings cooked expertly, this is artisan pizza not the neighborhood pizza joint. This is a relaxed atmosphere bar/restaurant providing GR8 service, XCELLANT Cocktails & Food ~ Definitely will be a regular at Pecan Square Cafe ”

“ After reading some great reviews of the Pecan Square Cafe we stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is in a great location with ample street parking. There is patio seating and the inside seating area was well decorated with large ceiling windows for views of trees. Our waitress was very friendly and our order was served quickly. We ordered the pizza and the porchetta sandwich...and they were delicious. Nothing was left on either of our plates. There were several other items on the lunch menu that looked delicious so we're already planning our return trip! ”

“ Visited Austin once again and came across this highly recommended hidden gem, lovely intimate ambiance. The menu is truly creative, with mouthwatering seasonal flavors that did not disappoint! We started with the PSC Old Fashioned, which was absolutely spot on--thank you! Here's what we ordered: Adagio Salumeria Fiocco: Served with perfectly flavored figs. Ouefs Mayonnaise: The mayo had a perfect hint of garlic and was beautifully seasoned. Zucchini Fritti: My absolute favorite! The green mint dipping sauce was a delightful pairing. Butterscotch Squash: A standout dish--perfectly cooked and served with roasted fall nuts and butter. Truly heartwarming! Grilled Eggplant Salad: I have a weakness for eggplant, and this dish hit the spot. The peppers and light vinegar paired wonderfully with the delicious bread. Blistered Habanada Peppers: These were a perfect complement to everything. Oyster Mushroom Pizza: Wow! This was absolutely amazing--definitely a must-try! Sausage and Shishito Pizza: A hit with the boys. The tomato sauce was perfection. Pork Schnitzel: Expertly breaded and seasoned, with mustard that was the perfect accompaniment. Finally, for dessert, we enjoyed the seasonal Crostata with olive oil ice cream and sea salt--a perfect ending to an incredible meal. “ Very cute outdoor area that would be very enjoyable once the temperatures cool down. The inside has a great vibe with a lively bar area. It is very hard to find a decent happy hour and I think Pecan Square may have one of the best offerings around with 1/2 price bottles of wine and 1/2 price pizzas Monday-Friday from 3-5pm. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the happy hour, but we did enjoy our meal of zucchini fritti, maltagliati, agnolotti and pork schnitzel. The presentation was lovely and the portions were great and not too heavy. They also have a great wine selection and the Paul Prieur Sancerre paired lovely with all of our choices. The hosts were extremely welcoming and our waitress was very nice. ”
